5 Must Try Places at The Ferry Building
June 28, 2017Chocolate, beer, coffee and maybe even chocolate coffee beer are some of the treats you can enjoy at the ferry building, all with the Bay in the background. A popular destination during the summer (and yes touristy on the weekends), the Ferry Building is a wonderland where cravings are satisfied. A foodie haven. A 9 minute Muni rail ride from Trinity Place. Walk inside and try having just one treat. Below are some of our top recs, let us know if you agree!
Coffee
Coffee first: what better way to kick start your day than with San Francisco’s best, Blue Bottle (available every day) and Sightglass (Saturdays, Farmer’s Market).
Oysters
“Best clam chowder in the Bay” is quite a statement and one made by several Yelpers. Though a bit touristy and no reservations, Hog Island is still a must. Clams, oysters, yummy drinks to pair with (including a killer Bloody Mary), more clams and oysters, and a gorgeous view of the Bay, this is an island worth stickin’ around.
Treats
Dandelion Chocolate, Cowgirl Creamery, Humphry Slocombe and pretty much anything you’ve ever craved in your life, at your fingertips. Hard to not stop by each…
Beer
Local brewery Fort Point offers tasty beer and outdoor seating facing Embarcadero Street, making it great for people watching under the sun. Grab a pint and enjoy.
Fancy Dining
How’s date night at one of San Francisco’s finest restaurants with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Bay sound? ‘Nuff said.
