May 1, 2021May is set to be an exciting month as celebrations for Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month in SF occur across The City! There will be no shortage of art, music, culture, film, food, and fun to be had at the multitude of in-person and virtual events planned.

The theme for this year’s event is “Celebrate Resilience, Uplift Voices.” In a year that has been all but normal, this is an excellent chance to celebrate the achievements and heritage of Asian/Pacific Americans in SF and across the country.

This year’s festivities will include live music, children’s programs, a Lion Dance performance, and so much more. Although many Art & Cultural Events are in-person, you can also sign up for multiple virtual meet-ups and learning sessions. Multiple events provide an educational insight into Asian-American Civil Rights during the past and present.

It’s never a bad time to pick up a book and learn something new. Read about topics such as the history of Asian rock, poetry, and plenty of modern cookbooks with mouth-watering recipes. You can even sign up for a virtual cooking demonstration with renowned SF Chef Martin Yan!

This world-class museum features over 18,000 works of art with collections as much as 6,000 years old. Located just around the corner from Trinity Place, now is an awesome chance to check out these great exhibits. Showings will be available through streaming, on-demand, and of course, live and drive in at Fort Mason next door to the Marina Cove Apartments!
