Located in the trendy Hayes Valley, Biergarten is German restaurant Suppenkuche’s sister beer garden. Enjoy fine German beer (in liters!) and tasty German food, from pretzels to sausages. If it’s anything over 66 degrees outside, expect a line but it’s well worth the wait. Head’s up: beer and wine only.

Formerly a biker bar, this San Francisco staple features a large patio perfect for a summer day. It does get loud once the crowd starts to come in but still promises to be a good time. The bar is located at the beginning of Valencia Street, so make your way up for food and more bars. P.S. They have an impressive beer menu featuring local beers but their Bloody Mary’s are a must try.
