However, with so many options available in the area, it is hard to find the best deals and venues for local workers and residents. Whether you live or work at the nearby Trinity Place, Trinity Towers, or anywhere else around mid-market, here is your guide to the best Civic Center happy hour locations.
Kama Sushi
If you’re looking for a filling post-work treat, Kama Sushi on Folsom St. provides happy hour food and drinks daily from 5 – 6:30. Discounted sushi is hard to come by so this place is always lively!

Also next door is one of SoMa’s most well-known happy hour destination. This chic Latin lounge provides $4 beers and $6 cocktails, wine, and sangria with discounted appetizers such as wings, quesadillas, and mac con queso balls.
Raven Bar
Want to get the party started early? Raven Bar offers happy hour prices all night Monday – Wednesday and until 8pm the rest of the week. This rambunctious nightclub is a very popular option for party-goers visiting SF but also have plenty of happy hour drink deals for local workers and residents.
Hazel Southern Bar & Kitchen
Got a case of the Mondays? Hazel SF offers happy hour prices all day on Monday and from 5-7 through Saturday. You can also enjoy discounted late night drinks and bites from 10pm to close Tuesday through Saturday. This lavish pool bar is known for it’s flavorful comfort food, and craft beer/cocktails.
Whitechapel
Highly regarded for having one of the finest gin collections around, Whitechapel‘s discounted gin & tonic flights and multiple craft cocktails are available during their happy hour from 5-7 everyday. You can also order some delicious bar bites such as samosas, sausage poutine, and buttered prawns.
Mr. Smith’s
Self-proclaimed as “Mid-Market’s best happy hour,” Mr. Smith’s offers $4 well drinks/ beers, $5 wine/ bubbly each Tuesday- Friday 4:30 pm- 8:00 pm + Free Pizza every Friday. This spacious venue has three separate levels that serve as a bar, lounge, and nightlcub!
Corridor
The Civic Center’s most creative craft cocktails can be consumed at Corridor Restaurant. Specialty drinks include “ERNESTO’S WAY”-(Mezcal, Grapefruit, Aloe, Agave, Lime, Soda), “RE-FASHIONED” – (Bourbon, Strawberry, Chocolate Bitters), and “DOCTOR STRANGE” – (Japanese Whiskey, peach, Yuzu, Plum Bubbles).

If you enjoy Thai food and discounted drinks, Lalita Exotic Thai Cuisine & Bar is a must-try near in mid-market. Enjoy a full menu of all your favorite Thai dishes along with $4 beer, wine, well drinks, and appetizers! Lalita also provides a wide range of featured Thai cocktails such as the Twisted Thai Tea, Phuket Sunrise, Muay Thai, Blue Bangkok, and Crazy Thai Coffee.
Cadillac Bar & Grill
One of our favorite choices is Cadillac Bar and Grill located on 9th Street next door to the Twitter building. Cadillac’s offerings include discounted beers, margaritas, and well drinks from 3-5pm on Tuesday-Friday. Don’t forget to order a couple of puffy tacos with your drinks and you’re sure to have a great time.
City Beer Store
If you want to bring some beer home to save for later, City Beer Store is the place for you. This spacious spot on the same block as 1188 and 1190 Mission Street has an extensive rotating menu of beers on tap along with a bottle shop and kitchen. This is the perfect place for thirsty workers to taste the many options available and bring favorites home in large format bottles or cans.
Soluna
Right next door to city hall with beautiful views is the stylish Soluna Cafe & Lounge. This venue hosts a variety of private events and parties but maintains an extensive happy hour menu on weekdays from 3-6. Enjoy an artisan charcuterie board while sipping aged whiskey at the end of your work day.

One of Civic Center’s best beer selections can be found on Market Street near The Orpheum Theatre and the construction site of Trinity Place Phase IV opening in 2021. This trendy and comfy space is popular with beer connoisseurs looking for an exclusive pint after a hard day’s work. You can also enjoy beer infused bar bites such as the IPA and citrus infused mac & cheese with chipotle aioli!
Smuggler’s Cove
If you haven’t tried Smuggler’s Cove you are surely missing out on a treasure trove of exotic cocktails! Well-known for their pirate-themed decor and drinks, Smuggler’s Cove grants two dollars off their originally-crafted cocktails from 5-6pm each day. Also, you can grab a giant punch bowl with your friends to enjoy together!
Don Ramon’s
Don Ramon’s in SoMa is the ultimate option for anyone looking for great margaritas and huge portions. This two-story Mexican restaurant operates a full bar and a wide-ranging menu sure to include all of your favorites. Head over for their lunch happy hour from 11:30-2:00 or the traditional happy hour from 5-6:30. Enjoy!

This extravagant hotel is also home to San Francisco’s “Hottest Rooftop.” Charmaigne’s Rooftop Bar is now open 120 feet above Market Street and is known as the area’s most exclusive public locale.
