Angie’s Pizza

Wood fire pizza, natural wine, beer, and homemade ice cream! Angie’s Pizza opened on December 2nd in the Mission by chef John McCloskey who has come up with an innovative and delicious menu that will keep you smiling throughout the entire meal. From classics like Margherita and Pepperoni, Angie’s also introduces inventive pies that have dates and chili oil for those who are looking to explore their taste buds. Angie’s is only a three-minute walk for our residents at 230 and 240 Dolores!
Poppy Bagels

Set to open in early January 2023, Poppy Bagels is owned and operated by NYC native, Reesa Kashuk, who brings authentic, hand-rolled bagels inspired by California. Bagels are made with as many locally-sourced and high-quality ingredients as possible, so you can enjoy knowing each bite is being made with love. Poppy’s has been popping up at the farmer’s market for the last two years and is finally opening a brick-and-mortar in Oakland! Luckily for our residents at 1177 Market, catching the yellow or red line on BART at Civic Center Station takes us to Oakland quickly and conveniently.

Convivium Enoteca is a new spot in North Beach serving delicious bites, story-telling wines, and conversations with friends that you won’t want to end. A place to be, this wine bar is redefining traditional Italian dishes with a modern take on its meats, cheese, and vegetables like none before. Our residents at 350 Union are a short five-minute walk away, or a 5-minute drive for our residents at 1000 Chestnut from this exciting new wine bar!
Village Tea House

Did someone say dumplings? Village Tea House quietly opened in SoMa at the end of November and is serving baos, dan dan noodles, and of course, dumplings, all made in-house. Situated down the street from Montgomery Station on BART, our residents at 1177 Market, 33 8th, 1188, and 1190 MIssion are a short ride over on the blue/green/red/yellow line from Civic Center station. Village Tea House has a full tea menu so you can warm up on these chilly winter nights.

A new Northern Italian restaurant on the corner of Nob Hill, Ciccino, is open! This quaint spot, 5 minutes away from our apartments at Crystal Towers and Clay Park Towers, serves scrumptious pasta, salad, and skewers that honor the Northern Italian cuisine of Emilia Romagna. They are open for dinner, Tuesday through Saturday, so make a reservation for cozy vibes and a yummy meal.

From husband and wife duo, Chef Chris Yang and Marcelle Gonzales Yang, is a Taiwan and night market inspired restaurant slated to open in early January 2023 in the heart of the Mission. Piglet and Co’s expected menu fuses Chef Chris’ Taiwanese American heritage and street food flavors with California sensibility. Their interpretation and reimagination of night markets in Taiwan is an experience we’re excited to try, especially with the convenience of being a short drive away from our apartments at Trinity Place!
Acre Kitchen and Bar

Centered in Market Hall in Oakland, Acre Kitchen is a place to unwind and slow down to enjoy a meal cooked with local ingredients and presented with sincere service. Acre opened for dinner on December 19th and hopes to serve simple dishes that are California ingredient-driven, Mediterranean-influenced, and meant to be shared. Our residents at 1177 Market are conveniently located by Civic Center station and can catch the yellow line on BART to get to Acre in under 30 minutes!
