From concerts to shows, and sporting events to art exhibits, it’s all coming back to The City. Whether you’re looking for a beautiful new home in one of San Francisco’s best neighborhoods or already love where you live in SF, it’s a great time to be in The City by The Bay. While the return of Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park during Halloweekend has grabbed most headlines, there are multiple great concerts, festivals, and musical performances coming back to SF.
- Chase Center – Michael Buble, The Eagles, Luke Combs, & Celine Dion
- Oracle Park – Def Leppard/Mötley Crüe/Poison/Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Weezer/Fall Out Boy/Green Day
- Bill Graham Civic Auditorium – Deftones, Excision, Lane 8, San Holo, Nghtmre
- Other Great SF Concert Venues – The Fillmore, Warfield, and The Regency Ballroom will also be open for shows in 2021.

Theatre is returning to San Francisco, and now is the time to plan your next trip to a Broadway show! Trinity Place is located in the heart of The Theater District with the Orpheum right across the street and The Strand and Golden Gate just down the block on Market Street.

Your favorite SF attraction is set to reopen in 2021, so if you prefer barking with the Sea Lions at Pier 39 or riding Golden Gate Park’s new Ferris Wheel, you’ve got plenty of choices. Also, with open-air tours returning to The City, you can once again play tourist and explore the many iconic neighborhoods.

Professional baseball, basketball, hockey, and soccer are already back in the Bay Area, with football scheduled to begin as regularly scheduled this fall. So if you missed seeing Steph Curry drain threes and Buster Posey smash homers, you can once again head to the game and enjoy a hot dog and beer while watching the game live.

San Francisco’s local art scene is coming back to life as The City’s many great museums and art exhibits open their doors to visitors. Open for a limited time through September 6th at the SVN West near Trinity Place; Immersive Van Gogh offers a one-of-a-kind multisensory experience inside Van Gogh’s most incredible paintings. Other permanent museums and exhibits also continue to reopen in 2021.
Zoos & Aquariums

Both the SF Zoo (near Ocean Beach) and the Aquarium of the Bay (Pier 39) have reopened with reservations available to the general public. No matter if you’re looking to see a cobra, chinchilla, chameleon, crab, cheetah, or carp, San Francisco has many animals to check out. Remember to purchase online in advance, as tickets are not available in person.

Beer sales may have remained high in 2020, but it sure is nice to gather with friends and family once again at The City’s many great establishments. Additionally, with the expansion of the Shared Spaces Program across San Francisco, outdoor seating has become much more prevalent at local watering holes and eateries.

The reopening of large office buildings such as Salesforce Tower is sure to bring life back into SF as people look to live in The City close to their offices. This is great news for San Francisco businesses as the influx of workers is sure to bring back large conventions like the ones we’re used to seeing at SoMa’s Moscone Center.
