Sotto Mare is a popular spot in the neighborhood, offering fresh fish and shellfish, and their renowned cioppino, an Italian stew of seafood simmered with tomatoes and wine. Don’t be fooled by the name, The Devil’s Acre is a lively bar in North Beach with many heavenly libations including the “Call a Treuse” cocktail or “The Golden Era.” This dim space feels like a step back in time! Belle Cora is named after the madam of the Barbary Coast during the mid-nineteenth century and is a wine bar, but has plenty of beer and food options to please everyone. Both of these spots are a quick Uber/Lyft/Taxi ride away from Crystal Tower, 350 Union, 2130 Stockton, and 2133 Stockton, so you can drink responsibly.
