On Friday, November 24 from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm, and a little closer to Trinity Place, the 83-foot tall tree with more than 43,000 twinkling energy-efficient LED lights will illuminate Union Square. Stop by Starbucks on Powell and O’Farrell or grab dinner at Cheesecake Factory and try to score a seat on their patio, it offers one of the best views.
P.S. the tree will be lit closer to 7 pm so get there early!

Ghirardelli Square 53rd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Also on Friday, November 24 from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm, stop by Ghirardelli Square for a winter celebration featuring live music, Santa, snow, and free activities! The tree will be lit at 7 pm so make sure you’re in line for your sundae before then 🙂

Winter Walk SF Opening & Festive Open Plaza

Not quite a tree lighting but still very festive, from November 25-December 31, two blocks on Stockton Street in Union Square will transform into Winter Walk! Beer and wine gardens, food trucks, live music, and lots of activities will be on display. Grab some friends and get into the holiday spirit at Winter Walk!
